Dr. David Buchwalter’s Research Recommended for Funding

David Buchwalter has received notification from the National Science Foundation of their intent to fund his grant proposal entitled “Integration of physiological, life-history, and macrofreshwater biodiversity in a warming world”.  The proposed research seeks to identify the mechanisms by which increasing temperatures can manipulate life history outcomes and physiology of aquatic insects.  Ultimately, research results will be used to determine if the measured responses are consistent with modeled species distributions.
