PhD students Crystal Lee Pow (Kullman’s lab) and Elizabeth Medlock ((LeBlanc’s lab) made oral presentations of their research at this year’s North American Society for Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry meeting in Vancouver BC, Canada. Crystal’s two presentations were titled “Relationships between estrogenic contaminant concentrations and incidence of intersex in centrachid fishes across North Carolina” and “Who’s pulling the strings: investigation of the role of three teleost estrogen receptors on vitellogenesis”.  Elizabeth’s presentation was titled “Activation and Disruption of a Crustacean Reproductive Signaling Pathway”.  Both students received SETAC travel awards to attend the meeting.
