On Wednesday, September 10, many NC State Toxicology graduate students, post-doctoral research fellows and faculty members attended the annual North Carolina Society of Toxicology (NCSOT) meeting held on the campus of RTI International in Research Triangle Park, NC. The event was a great opportunity for students to share their research and connect with peers and professionals in the field.
A total of eight graduate students and two post-doctoral researchers from the program presented posters showcasing their work. We are incredibly proud of all the students who participated, represented the department and shared their research with the NC Toxicology community.
A special congratulations goes out to the following individuals for their outstanding achievements in the poster competitions:
- Dr. Brittany Rickard, a post doctoral research associate in Dr. Sue Fenton’s lab, took first place in the post-doctoral poster competition.
- Izzy Courtney, a second year PhD student in Dr. Kurt Marsden’s lab, earned second place in the graduate student poster competition.
Their success highlights the high caliber of research being conducted within our program. Congratulations to Brittany and Izzy, and to all our presenters for their hard work.
