Emma Tobin has been honored with an Early Career Award from the Hazard and Doze Response Specialty Group in the Society for Risk Analysis (SRA).

This award includes membership into SRA and a $3,000 grant. At the conference, Emma gave a short talk on how the grant funds will be used to support bioavailable PFAS measurement in cell culture media using solid phase microextraction. This investigation will help with the translatability of her dissertation research on PFAS impacts on DNA damage repair.

Congratulations to Emma on this well-deserved award! We’re proud to have her representing NC State Toxicology and making significant contributions to the field of risk analysis.
