Toxicology Seminar with Dr. Martha Susiarjo

Talk Title: “Environmental modulators of tryptophan metabolism and maternal health”
Bio: Martha Susiarjo graduated from Case Western Reserve University in 2007 with a PhD in Genetics. During her PhD training, she worked with Patricia Hunt on the impacts of bisphenol A exposure on meiotic aneuploidy in mouse germ cells. She continued with a postdoctoral training with Marisa Bartolomei at University of Pennsylvania, working on research to elucidate effects of environmental exposure on genomic imprinting and metabolic disease. Martha joined University of Rochester in 2015 as a tenure track faculty and is currently an Associate Professor of Environmental Medicine. Her laboratory works on gene environment interaction that influences maternal and fetal health specifically focusing on the impact of environmental exposure and nutrients on the epigenome.
